TV Insomnia

Iyá Ewé Angela Gomes, known as the “Plant Caretaker,” enters the forest of Mangabeiras Park in Belo Horizonte. Amidst the pitanga tree of Oxóssi and the stream of Oxum, she, who is a daughter of Lògún Edé, chants and greets the entities present there, while talking about her learning of the Ecology of the Orixás.

Bio:
Diego Robert is a multidisciplinary artist, psychologist, and cultural producer who has been working since 2012 at the intersection of experimental cinema, literature, soundtracks, and music. As a filmmaker, he is responsible for directing, writing, editing, and sound design for his films, including the experimental short films "TV Insônia" and "Vigília Noturna," which have been screened at festivals such as Mostra de Tiradentes, FestCurtasBH, Festival Curta Cinema, Goiânia Mostra Curtas, and Mostra Múmia. He has also participated in productions such as "Casa Vazia" (co-writer, soundtrack, and editor), "Fome," "Segunda-feira, então," "Abismo do Olhar," and "Flecha." He composes soundtracks for other filmmakers and has a discography of over 80 songs in projects that range from MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) to ambient, electronic, and post-punk. He is also the author of the short story collection "A falta de um prego."
