This is not a guitar

Artur Miranda Azzi reinvents the guitar by uniting avant-garde music and a striking visual approach. In six performances of contemporary composers, strings are plucked, rubbed, struck, or cut. A film-concert, an instrument in flux. Sound and image merge into abstract landscapes.

Pedro Aspahan is a musician, filmmaker, and professor at the School of Fine Arts of UFMG. His research and audiovisual practice explore the relationship between cinema and music, with a focus on documentary filmmaking, and his films have received awards in Brazil and abroad. Artur Miranda Azzi is a guitarist, composer, and researcher. His work focuses on contemporary music, with concerts and compositions presented internationally, alongside his activities as a teacher and researcher in Brazil and Germany.
